This single is the debut recording by The Temporary Thing, a one-man project that started by Boston-based singer/songwriter Andrew Gleason. Andrew has been playing guitar since 7 years old and started writing his own songs at the tender age of 13. Now in his mid-twenties, he has already amassed an impressive body of work that displays a unique music talent and a genuine inner sensibility.
Andrew's influences vary from the delicate acoustic guitaristic gems of Nick Drake to the alt.country soundscapes of Mojave 3 and the pop quality of Belle And Sebastian; sometimes traces of Ryan Adams come to mind, and in some songs, Beck emerges as a big influence as Andrew unleashes a raw and innovative style, not devoid of his sensitive acoustic vein.
"Forever And A Day" is a song which shows Andrew's quiet, wistful and nostalgic side, in a wonderful old-fashioned and traditional way. The single is available on limited 7inch on Pop art Records and it includes "Anyway's The Same" as a b-side, another example of Andrew's lush songwriting talent.
